Always a step ahead …

July 9th, 2010

When it comes to choosing the right flooring for your workplace, we understand that the look of the floor, although important, it is not the main consideration.  The flooring also needs to be hard wearing, practical and safe.  That’s why as part of our initial survey of your premises we would ask about foot traffic and usage, so that we can suggest the correct floor finish for your needs.  Whatever your requirements Whitespace can supply and install a floor finish to suit each and every area of your workplace, from an impressive hard wearing reception floor covering to a slip resistant, easy clean vinyl finish for toilets and kitchen areas.  A mixture of floor finishes can be used to create feature areas within your workplace, simply by using a combination of carpet and hard wearing laminate you can identify a break out area within your existing office space without building walls or barriers.

You can be assured that our design team will incorporate the correct floor finish to compliment the end design, ensuring the whole look and feel of your workplace is finished to the highest standard.

Glass Manifestation, we’ve got it covered …

June 28th, 2010

We are finding that more and more offices are requesting fully glazed partitions.  To comply with health and safety regulations glazed partitions must appear visible to people using the space, that’s why, when designing office spaces with glazed partitions or large areas of glass we always strongly recommend the use of manifestation.

Manifestation applied to glass is not only a cost effective way to transform your office space, it is a valuable solution which enables you to comply with health and safety requirements, a useful tool for providing privacy and for emphasising the company logo.  Although, you don’t have to display your company logo!  Research has shown that when colours and / or graphics are introduced to a workplace they go a long way to creating a better, more productive workplace.  Give Whitespace a call to see how we can transform your workplace.

May 28th, 2010

Toilet refurbishments are becoming more and more popular, not only because employees expect a certain standard of hygiene, but also legislation requires employers to provide employees with sufficient washing and toilet facilities.  In short they must:

  • Be separate for men and women, unless they are in a lockable room intended for the use of one person at a time.
  • Be clean, adequately ventilated and well lit.
  • Be provided with suitable and sufficient sanitary conveniences in readily accessible places.
