Whitespace consolidates floor space with office space planning. Birmingham based CACI, an ongoing valued client were coming to the end of the lease on their existing building and wanted a more modern working environment. This is exactly what they got when they employed the services of Whitespace. In their previous building the business had been split over three floors, with clever office space planning we were able to consolidate the core business on to one floor.

 

The ground floor comprised of all functions, kitchen, meeting rooms, comms room and hot desking facilities, the first floor hosting all the office staff.  Essential office space planning was required to make the most of the space and natural light, meeting rooms were built with glazed partitions incorporating branded manifestation to the front face, providing privacy, yet allowing light to travel through in to the rooms. As part of our brief we completed a full storage and furniture audit, compiling an inventory of their existing furniture and equipment and where possible utilising this in to their new office space. Planning in this way saved the client several thousands of pounds.   This was re-directed into refurbishing the toilets in-line with current legislation due to increased headcount.

Whitespace provided a full turnkey package with an extensive program of works, enabling the project to be monitored remotely by the client.  Receiving regular updates from our Project Manager gave them peace of mind that the project would be delivered on time and within budget.

Once the refurbishment was complete we moved the entire business during one weekend, meaning the staff left one desk on Friday and moved in to their new desk on Monday morning, where they are now happily working side by side in the open plan environment.
