New board room table from Italy provides style at SME Digital - Preston

We were recommended to the directors of SME Digital, one arm of BT, by both the landlord and other tenants on the business park. SME posessed an empty shell in the building and had a shopping list of requirements. They had out grown their existing premises and were expanding rapidly. The new building would allow a new home for their busy call centre on the ground floor with executive offices and board Room on the first floor.

 

With the high headcount we also needed to consider suitable supporting kitchens and break out areas. We worked through the design process with the client resulting in best use of space for all areas. The company colours were used throughout the ground floor to demonstrate the corporate brand and the first floor was given a more executive feel.

Director’s furniture was imported from Italy and the board room table, in rich walnut veneer, was manufactured especially for this space.

As well as the creative support we liaised with the local authorities for planning consent for air conditioning equipment and building control to make sure all current legislation in the design of the space was adhered.

The end result for SME was an exciting new office that was both practical and inviting, a great place to work!
