So much about how and where students learn has changed over the years…

Those of us who have worked in the interior design of schools and colleges over the last decade or more, work hard to keep up with the changes affecting how and where students learn…  Nowadays classrooms bear little resemblance to those we may remember from our own childhood (well mine anyway). Traditionally teaching was conducted in large class scenarios with a teacher at the front of the room with only chalk and a blackboard for support.  Arguably the greatest change is the introduction of computers to the classroom!

It’s safe to say, technology has opened up a whole new world for both teachers and pupils… Items such as whiteboards, laptops and tablets are now commonplace up and down the country and have extended learning opportunities for students.  Although today’s classrooms not only have to accommodate different teaching styles, they also have to allow for a change in class sizes, from large and small group sessions to quiet space for individual study.  As a result flexibility is key!

Whilst technology and collaborative working have certainly influenced classroom design, it doesn’t stop there… Social spaces are also in demand for modern schools and colleges, a place where students can meet up with friends, relax or even partake in some leisure activities.

We have gained considerable experience in the refurbishment of schools and colleges throughout the North West.  Our classroom design and education furniture procurement and installation expertise are second to none. Whatever you needs, we are confident that we can create the ideal learning environment to suit you and your budget.  Contact us today to discuss your requirements in more detail…
