CACI Developments Ltd has gone from strength to strength, growing their business by acquisition. Based in Kensington, London they recently acquired a local business and were looking for a northern company equipped to fully manage the refurbishment of their new Manchester office. Much time was spent on the planning stages of the project as it was necessary to decant existing staff into another office whilst the works were carried out and take re-usable items into storage off site.
A full programme of works was developed so that the project could be monitored remotely by CACI with regular updates being emailed over. This meant the client only needed to come to Manchester for key visits.
The building at Manchester Science Park received a full facelift including ceilings, lighting, new partitions, new power and data throughout, window blinds, signage, decoration, floor coverings and a new kitchen area. Due to the re-planning of the space we carried out modifications to the smoke detection and intruder alarm in line with Local Authority requirements.
The nature of the business also required an intricate heating and cooling system which we designed and then installed to suit the business needs. A new colour scheme meant some items of new furniture were required. We carried out a full inventory of their existing furniture to ensure as much of this was used as possible to save cost. On completion of the building works we installed the new furniture along with items brought back from storage. Finally we supplied the crates, vehicles and manpower and moved the business from their temporary location to their new premises.
