Based in Skelmersdale, Nutriculture are pioneers of the hydroponics industry. When a building became available opposite their existing office space, Nutriculture took the opportunity to acquire this. Their idea was to create additional workspace for their expanding marketing department but also serviced office space for the surrounding business community.
Working closely with the client, our brief was not only to advise on a space planning and furniture solutions for the marketing team, but to also create a modern serviced office space. The area needed to include office space of varying sizes, meeting rooms, kitchen facilities and a reception area, providing a centralized administration function. The overall aesthetics were key to the success of this project, it was essential that the end result would appeal to other businesses looking to rent office space.
Our design team got to work on their first task, designing an area for the marketing team. To make the most of the space and so as not to compromise on the natural light, the self contained office was built using glass partitions incorporating branded manifestation. We introduced desking, seating and storage solutions to this area, creating a modern, bright, comfortable environment for this busy department.
We then got to work on the rest of the building, designing with flexibility in mind; we created various different sized offices, meeting rooms and also the option to take up ‘hot-desking’ space. We also introduced kitchen and breakout facilities and a welcoming reception area. Soft seating, new flooring and window blinds were added to complete the look of this serviced office space.
Following the success of this scheme, we have been asked to partner with Nutriculture going forward, presenting our designs and space planning ideas to potential clients of the business centre.
We are proud to have an excellent working relationship with Nutriculture and look forward to helping them ‘grow’ this affordable serviced office solution.
