Westfield Health

We were approached by Westfield Health in Sheffield to refurbish their current office space. This multi award winning not-for-profit organisation, provides healthcare plans for over a third of a million policyholders and almost 9,000 organisations nationwide.

Our brief was clear; to create a modern space which was functional, creative and consistent with the company’s image.

We began the process with a thorough consultation period, during which we spoke to members of staff from each department, to gain a full understanding of how they operate and if there were any necessary departmental adjacencies that we needed to take into consideration. We then undertook a full detailed building audit; this involved measuring the whole building and its contents. We worked closely with key personnel to identify the space requirements, from room sizes and locations, storage and filing requirements to detailed desk configurations. Once we gained an insight into the organisation, we were then able to begin the planning and design process and advise on how the building could be best used.

The go ahead was given on the ground floor and we were tasked with installing new ceilings, floor coverings and furniture and completing modifications to the lighting, all in an agreed timeframe.

As the business was to remain fully functional throughout the refurbishment, a phased approach was taken, with departments moving temporarily to other parts of the building whilst work was taking place.

We designed the whole area to make the best use of the available space ensuring the new offices communicate the right image to staff and customers alike. The client is delighted with the new working environment.
