Trinity Primary School
Trinity Primary School, in the newly formed Buckshaw Village in Chorley, aims to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where children have a strong sense of belonging. With a blank canvas, Whitespace’s brief was to provide a layout that would accommodate approximately 200 pupils and all the supporting activities.
Creating a happy and secure atmosphere is important in any primary school, so special care was taken in selecting suitable fixtures and fittings to ensure the comfort of students and staff.
The project involved the design, supply and installation of a variety of products. We installed an inviting reception area with feature seating, central resource areas which include funky seating and customised storage and a state-of-the-art multi-media suite incorporating curved desking ensuring we made the best use of the space available. Within our remit we also designed and installed bespoke storage solutions for pupil’s belongings which feature space for shoes, lunch boxes and coat pegs and are lockable for added security.
We designed each classroom to be flexible and able to accommodate a number of teaching styles from individual learning to group sessions. We furnished the main hall with a stage area, dining tables and assembly seating for 200. Furniture was also installed in to the head teacher’s, general offices and staff rooms along with a fully furnished medical room.
Offering a one-stop-shop service went some way to ensuring we won this project. But it was our attention to detail and determination to deliver a very high quality project, on time and on budget, that ultimately won the day.
The staff, pupils and parents are looking forward to the opening of the new school and hope it helps to bring the new and expanding community of Buckshaw Village together.
