Office space planning Manchester

ITN Mark Education

As one of the UK’s largest education recruitment agencies, ITN Mark pride themselves on providing a unique quality of service to schools, nurseries and academies.

Due to expansion, ITN Mark took the decision to relocate their Manchester office to a new City Centre location. Pleased with the work we had previously completed for them at one of their Southern offices, the company employed us to refurbish their newly acquired office space in a listed building in the heart of Manchester.

Our brief was to create an office interior design to be proud of and which represented them as an established and professional company.

As well as taking into account the company’s general requirements; how many staff we could comfortably accommodate in the space and storage requirements, we also had to take into consideration that we were working in a listed building and how this impacted on the design layout. Working closely with the client and local planning officer, we designed the office space leaving all the existing ceilings visible and introduced a seamless glass office partition to separate the main office from the entrance. To comply with Health & Safety regulations manifestation was applied in the form of corporate branding.

Following an extensive space planning exercise, we created a desking solution that would not only seat 21 employees comfortably; it would also encourage interaction between staff. We were also able to incorporate two individual executive offices to the perimeter and build a server room and a small kitchen facility to enhance the space. Feature flooring was used to define walkways and other zones within the area.

After undergoing a thorough storage audit in their existing space, we established that providing effective solutions to the new office space was key. Varying heights of tambour units and a centrally located storage island were installed, along with pedestals at individual workstations. This ensured that office consumables were discreetly hidden and client files were easily accessible, resulting in an attractive yet tidy and efficient workspace.

To complete the transformation we created two comfortable client interview rooms incorporating glass partitions, with manifestation for added privacy. This enables the client to take advantage of the natural light from the large windows.

Detailed discussions at an early stage and working closely with all parties throughout ensured the end result gained ‘top marks’ from the client.  www.itnmark.com
