Creating better places for learning…

Studies reveal that there is a direct relationship between the learning environment and the behaviour of students. Cramped, uncomfortable conditions are said to be distracting and in some cases can often lead to stress among children, which in turn affects their academic performance!

We believe that students should be able to learn in comfortable surroundings, spaces where they can relax and focus on the task in hand.

In recent years we have been involved in a number of school interior design projects; a recurring theme was a need for ‘inspirational and flexible spaces’, none more so than at Broadoak Primary School.

In the summer of 2015, we were asked to help the school design and furnish the interior of their new purpose built school; they wanted the end result to develop the pupils love for learning…

Designing each classroom to encourage interaction and the ability to accommodate a variety of teaching styles was key to the success of this project. Carefully planned spaces provide areas for pupils to learn either individually or in groups and brightly coloured seating with contrasting white desking gives a contemporary feel to each room. Innovative furniture designs to the ICT Suite and Learning Resource Centre deliver a unique and exciting learning environment. Read the case study in full here

When it comes to classroom layout, there is no ‘one size fits all’ solution, but with a good interior design, space planning and furniture selection your school can become an innovative, state of the art learning space.

Whether a Primary School, Secondary School or Higher Education establishment, we have worked hard to create educational spaces that are a hit with everyone.
