Health & Safety regulations dictate that staff should have regular breaks throughout the working day, especially if they are working at a computer screen for the majority of the time, office breakout areas provides this, without them having to leave the office.

Studies show that encouraging staff to take a break can actually increase productivity, and that they often see office breakout areas as a perk that gives them the feeling that they are valued by their employer.

Introducing a breakout space doesn’t have to mean spending a huge amount of money, it can simply be a small section of space partitioned or screened off from the rest of the office.
