Learning resource centres (LRCs) Stockport
LRCs Stockport, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Burnley, Salford
Learning Resource Centres (LRCs) are becoming increasingly popular in our schools and colleges due to the changes in the ways students are accessing information. Laptops, tablets, smartphones as well as the more traditional desktop computers, books and magazines have become the chosen medium.
Our experience within the education refurbishment sector has enabled us to create these multi-functional spaces, where students can use both traditional and modern means to access information, relax and learn.
The design, layout and furniture we include in Learning Resource Centres (LRCs) across the Northwest, including Stockport, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, and Burnley, are key to their success. By creating a space students want to visit and consequently use requires an understanding of the different ways they interact both in study and socially.
A successful LRC should consist of several zones;
- Quiet area – for individual work
- Group spaces – for social interaction and teamwork
- Reference areas – for accessing information
The furniture should support different styles of working;
- Standard and/or bespoke desking, modular tables and a variety of seating for flexibility.
- Adequate storage to hold a variety of media.
Whether your pupils are working solo, in small groups or whole classes, we are confident that we can deliver an engaging environment that inspires. Once more we offer the convenience of having your project completed from a single source taking away the burden of ensuring the refurbishment goes according to plan.
